Stress management: ways to prevent and relieve stress

"Stress is not always wrong; it can be used in beautiful ways. It is not necessarily negative, but if we think that it is negative, that it is not good and then we create problems. When stress is there use it as creative energy. Effective stress management helps you break the hold stress has on your life, so you can be happier, healthier, and more productive. The ultimate goal is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation, and fun—and the resilience to hold up under pressure and meet challenges head on. But stress management is not one-size-fits-all.

Teaching cardiac patients of stress management may be as effective as aerobic exercise in decreasing the long-term risk of further coronary illness, and it may also reduce medical costs, researchers at Duke University Medical Center have found. This stress management program emphasized the physiological effect of stress on cardiovascular disease and gave training in muscle relaxation. It also taught participants to recognize how they created stress in their lives through cognitive distortions, like mistakenly blaming themselves for bad luck.

It is widely acknowledged that meditation is the most powerful stress management tool available today. However not all meditation techniques are made equal. However inbliss’s Active Meditations are different. Inbliss Active Meditation is a modern and revolutionary for stress management. Contrary to all the other meditation techniques, Inbliss Active Meditation does not work by aiming to induce directly a state of relaxation: the approach is to lead you to relaxation as a consequence of extreme tension. This technique begin with an intense physical stage such as breathing, shaking, dancing or humming to help each person throw off some of the tensions and stress they have accumulated. Incidentally this stress management technique gives the body a good physical workout at the same time!  The stages are followed by further stages of relaxation and stillness.

Dynamic meditation is one of the most popular active meditations for stress management. People experience relaxation after just one single session. And the key to make the most out of this powerful method is intensity.  Dynamic Meditation is a 60 minute formatted meditation technique of 5 stages, first of which is fast, deep and chaotic breathing for 10 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of catharsis, 10 minutes of jumping and shouting a mantra “hoo”, 15 minutes of silence, and finally 15 minutes of celebration through dance.

Express, enjoy, relax

With Inbliss’s stress management methods you learn how to enjoy the stress-response as a wonderful mechanism. You have the freedom to express emotions and energy through body movements and vocalizations. And naturally your system switches back to relaxation as a consequence.

Life is expression, express it!
